Extracurricular Activities

Enrichment programs are extra-curricular activities offered at Jefferson Elementary either before or after school. Space is limited in some programs.


Students have the opportunity to play in the band and perform!
Grades: Open to all 4th and 5th grade students

Thursdays 1:35 - 2:35pm

Jefferson student must be in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade, have a great spirit, a willingness to try new dances and a sense of cooperation respect. Regular attendance is expected.

Schedule and performance dates will be given out on the first date of practice. Some performance include: Lancer Homecoming Parade, Red Ribbon Week, Las Madrecitas, Multicultural Festival, Winter Spring concerts, Rock 'n Roll Night and Talent Show
Grades: Open to all 3rd - 5th grade students
When: Fridays 2:30 - 3:15 pm

KJEF is a 5th grade media production that is broadcasted via closed circuit television on campus on channel 3. The program is shown every Friday on campus on a continuous loop. Teachers can decide when they can watch the show in their classrooms. K through 5th graders are anxious to see friends, family, and sometimes even themselves on T.V.!

At the Lego Robotics Club, students use teamwork and problem solving skills to develop, build and program an autonomous robot that can perform different functions using motors and sensors. Team members think critically and creatively to find solutions while learning about science and technology. The robot will be used to accomplish missions in a competitive environment at the First Lego League Robotics Tournament held later in the year at Legoland. Qualifying teams have an opportunity to compete in a world-wide competition.

Applications to this course will be handed out in 4th and 5th grade classes the first week of September.
Grades: Limited Spaces -- Open to 4th and 5th grade only

Join Jefferson's Mileage Club and get in shape, feel great and have fun! Students, Parents, Siblings and Teachers and welcome!All runners should be picked up Tuesdays at 3:15 pm and Thursdays at 2:15 pm at the blue picnic tables by the field at the back of the school.

4th and 5th graders think up all kinds of fun and productive activities for our school. Earth Day, Clean Up Day, Twin Day, and Career Day are just to name a few of the activities the Student Council plans for all to enjoy.
